Angelique and Michael absolutely rocked their indoor Calgary engagement session. From the moment we started shooting, you would never guess how nervous they had felt leading up to it. This session was all about comfort, connection, and celebrating their love in a private space that felt just right for them.
Choosing the Perfect Studio Location
Before their session, Angelique let me know she was feeling a little anxious and really wanted to avoid crowds or outdoor spaces. She envisioned something quiet, intimate, and relaxed. That is where The Gallery Studio in Calgary came in.
This beautiful space offers an open layout, large windows for natural light, and simple but stylish props that make every photo feel clean and modern. Whether it is for engagement photos or wedding day portraits, it is one of my favourite indoor options in the city.

To make the session even more meaningful, Angelique and Michael brought along Wild Rose beer. This was not just a fun prop, but a special part of their story. Wild Rose Brewery was where they had their very first date and is a place they have returned to many times throughout their relationship. Including it in their engagement session helped ease their nerves and added a personal, lighthearted touch to the photos.
The result was a session full of laughter, connection, and sweet in-between moments that captured exactly who they are together.
